Hi, I have my immigration visa in my passport and plan to fly into Canada in August. I have immigrated under the skilled workers category and have thus already proven through bank statements to possess 10 000 CA$ required for establishment in Canada. While at the embassy I was told by the person delivering my visa that I do not need to bring 10 000 in cash while entering Canada with my immigration visa because I have already proven I have the money previously. However the immigration site says that
'You will have to present proof that you have sufficient funds to support yourself and your family after you arrive in Canada' at the border control...
So what's the consensus on this? Do I have to bring 10 000 in cash/travelers' checks? Is having a proof of a bank account in a foreign country enough (Belgium or USA)?
