We will be applying for a 'family of a settled person' visa for my wife to come to the UK.
I am a UK citizen and my wife is from China. We have a son who is a UK citizen - he has a UK passport.
As I have only been working in the UK for 2 months I cannot use my income to satisfy the financial requirement - I am earning above the required level but will not have 6 months of pay slips at the time of application.
I am in the process of selling a house that I jointly own with an ex-girlfriend. My proceeds from the sale will be just above the £62,500 required for the Category D Cash Savings option. I have been a joint owner of the property for more than 5 years and my share of the proceeds are after all other monies have been paid. I believe I satisfy all points in section 7.4.10 of Appendix FM 1.7
The proceeds will be in my UK bank account at the time of the application, however they will only have been there for a few weeks, not the full 6 months. I believe this is ok as I owned the property for more than 6 months prior to the application.
What do I need to provide as proof in the letter from the solicitor - the wording "confirming the sale price and other relevant information" is quite vague? If anyone has an example of a successful letter it would be much appreciated.
Any other advice on the proof required for this option would also be appreciated.
Thanks
