CAT D - Savings Only

Post by asif3 » Mon Dec 08, 2014 11:00 am

Hi,

Can anyone confirm whether I will meet the financial requirement of £62,500 for sponsoring my wife to come and live with me in the UK.
I have £45,000 in my current account which I have held for over 6 months. I also have £20,000 in premium bonds (not instant access) which I have held for over 6 months.

I plan on transferring the £20k from premium bonds account to my current account this month so I will have £65k in my current account with instant access.

From the UKBA docs, I understand as I have held the savings for over 6 months, I can apply straight away without waiting for the £62500 to have been in my current account for 6 months (providing I supply evidence that I held the 20k in premium bonds for over 6 months) .
What worries me is that the examples given in the financial requirement doc, only show cases where over £62500 was transferred to an instant access account. Can someone please shed some light on this.

Many Thanks

What other advice other than the one in this Thread do you require.

Also please continue there.
