I've applied for Naturalisation and waiting to hear back from them.
I've been reading all the threads on this forum and the reasons for BC rejection, I'm slightly worried now!
So I decided to prepare myself in case mine gets rejected as well...
I need to get my immigration history from the HO...
I've sent them an online form and requested my immigration history to be sent to me which is a free service that they do provide.
However, I need to send them a copy of my driving licence including a letter within 15 days with the following words:
"I certify that this is a true likeness of Mr XXXXXX"
It must also include the name and signature of the person certifying the copy and be dated within the last 6 months
The following people can certify the copy of this document (sign this letter):
- A legal representative, registered with the Office for the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC)
- A solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive
- A commissioner for oaths
- A registered charity
I've contacted 1 solicitors firm and they said that they will do this and it costs £10 which is fair but they want to charge me £79 to register me as a client and I said no thanks. I don't want to become a client. I just want a simple letter signed and confirmed.
Can someone please advice on where I could get this letter signed ASAP as cheap as possible of course?
