Change in the Biometric Card details

All,
I have got new passport (due to old passport expiry).
Is it do i need to replace the Biometric Resident Permit card?
In what situation do i need to re-apply for a replacement card?
What are the documents need to submit?

No you don't have to tell them when you change your passport

See link to leaflet on BRPs which explains when you do need to have the BRP replaced or changed.

thanks for the link.

Now i understand that we no need to apply for a new card for the renewing the passport situation.

In the new passport, there is a surname change for my family so i have apply a new card for them.

It would be helpful if i get some guidance on the below:

what are the documents to be submitted ? do i need to send the main application orginials or only dependent orginials are enough ?
What is duarion to complete this ?
any appointment is requred ?
Allowed only in the postal ? no premium service etc ?
