Change in T1 time / document questions

Post by anais97 » Mon Apr 06, 2009 6:09 am

Hi, all -
I've been a lurker on this site (thank you for all of the fab info!) and am finally ready to apply for the Tier 1 General PBS, having sadly missed the March 31 deadline...sigh...

Questions:
1.) It now appears that the valid time of the T1 visa has changed from 3 years to 2 years, though I've not seen too many questions on this. Can anyone confirm?

2.) Bank of America (which handles my maintenance and payroll proving accounts) says they cannot provide me a letter stating maintenance funds. (The only letters they provide, they say, are templates which don't include the full account number and simply state the funds on the close of an account cycle.) Additionally, all they will give me are printouts on plain white paper, in black/white print, but with the BoA logo for my statements. I've had the branch manager sign all of these with her business card, but the savings account provides only numbers for those days on which there was a transaction (deposit/withdrawal) rather than an every-single-day computation. Will this suffice?

3.) For previous earnings, my payslips are all electronic. HR says they can't provide anything official looking, but have agreed to sign a document with the table showing gross/net pay with the HR contact's name and business card. Will this, too, suffice?

Any help/info is very much appreciated!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Andrea
