Changing my record details with my GP - Issues

Post by preetance » Sun Aug 28, 2011 6:18 pm

Prior to being given Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK, I lived here under false information (false ID etc.).

I am currently in the process of amending my records and have come across a stumbling block with my GP.

The secretary at my GP is adamant that I need to provide my birth certificate before any changes can be made (not possible as I do not have it with me) and wouldn't accept my passport.

I'd be grateful if anyone could advise me on what to do regarding my situation.

Thank you.

Are you saying that you claimed ILR fraudulently or are you saying that you previously used fraud but that this did not have a bearing on your ILR grant?

I came clean to the immigration authorities about living under an assumed name before being given ILR in my real name.

As a result I am now trying to amend my details with the relevant authorites (such as my GP/bills etc).

This question in particular refers to my GP and the GP secretary who says that I need my birth certificate (which I do not have) in order to have my details changed. She will not accept my passport details.

Thank you.

There appears to be no immigration issue here. This is matter entirely between you and your GP, and their admin. procedures.
