CHanging Status from C-Visit (Buiseness Visa) to Work Permit

Hi,

I am on a 6 months buisness visa here in the uk and am on a project for our company which is a US based company and has recently opened a registered office here in the UK

Now I have an offer from my company to work here for more than 1 year and would like to know how can i change my visa status.

Do i have to go back to India where I come from to get clearance or this can be done without going back to India

AFAIK you will have to go back to India to get your EC

you can apply for work permit whilst you are in UK, once you get work permit approval letter you would need to go to india to get EC and then after you re enter UK you would need to apply for FLR based on work permit aprroval.

EC and FLR is the same so no need to go for FLR after re-entering the UK
