Child Benefit Fund after ILR

Post by sriramjy » Thu Aug 07, 2008 11:28 am

Hi

This year April, I have got my ILR approved. But before I went for my ILR I was claiming Child Benefit Fund for my son who was born here in UK. This was purely because of misguidance by Child Benefit fund authorities. However, before going in for my ILR I had put a stop on receiving the funds and received communication regarding the same.

I would like to know 2 things

1) Am I eligible to claim for child benefit fund again with a status of ILR.
2) Does claiming benefit have any implications on my run up to Citizenship next year.

Just spotted this.

The answers to your questions are short and sweet :-
  1. Yes!
  2. No!
Simple as that!
