Child born in the UK which form FLR(IED) or FLR(O)

Post by tvt » Mon Jul 19, 2004 11:19 am

Can anyone advise which form should be use for LTR for a new baby (UK born) of an HSMP holder?

Is it FLR (IED) - £121?
or FLR (O) - £155 and goes to Croydon

The father and mother have already got very long LTR.

FLR (IED) - alternatively just wait till ILR is granted and apply for naturalisation immedeiately - unless child eagerly wants to travel

Tnavon,

If parents making an LTR extension on the basis of HSMP i.e. at 1 year renewal stage the child can be included in FLR(IED) as dependent. This is because an IED must be held which by default the child does not have. FLR(IED) only postal - send via Cannock.

If this is not the case as it appears to be then form FLR (O) needs to be used. In person = PEO at 250 GBP, Postal = Cannock at 155 GBP.

Congrats to the couple in question.

Form FLR (O) is for the following cases

Use the following SET(O) Form to apply for indefinite leave to remain in the United Kingdom if you have completed, or are nearing completion, four years of continuous leave to remain in the United Kingdom in one of the following categories:

Work permit holder

Based on my understanding of tnavon's description Form FLR(O) is the appropriate form. Tick 'other' in section 3 - category of application and enclose supporting documentation i.e

1. Photos of the baby x2
2. Full birth certificate - shwoing both parents names.
3. Baby's passport
3. Parents passports with police registration documents if applicable.
4. Parents marriage certificate.
5. Evidence of funds/ accomodation - a technical interpretation of the rules means this is not really applicable/ required for UK born babies but enclosing it smoothens the application.
6. HSMP letter - approval or extension.
7. As part of 4 if possible - NHS card for the baby as proof of residence.

Good Luck

Kaya,

Many thanx for clarifying that - you have definately pulled out another trick out of the hat

I like your No. 7 - NHS card for baby to prove residence......in theory, it is possible that birth certificates can be forged...but damn difficult to forge both NHS card and birth certificate

Tnavon,

So what form was used eventually and what supporting documentation was provided?
