Child born to UK Tier 1 (General) visa holders

Hello Everyone!

I am on Tier 1 (General) visa expiring on 15th July, 2015 (and I will be eligible for ILR then).
Our baby was born in July 2014. And I am looking to go to India on Holidays in Feb 2015.

Looks like UKBA changed things and this is the way to apply for leave for children born in UK - https://visasandimmigration.ipt.homeoff ... dant-child

Has anyone applied using this service? I have following questions -
1. How long does it take nowadays to get the visa?
2. The above link doesn't mention about me having to prove my earnings again. But do they still expect?

there was always a way to apply for pbs leave for a uk-born child, it is just not required since child born here can't be illegal

you dont have to prove earnings for dependant child application but you do need maintenance

mind though that applications are half cheaper from abroad than from within the UK where you will also have to apply in PEO to get it done before Feb

all of this seems like a waste of too much money given that in summer, after you gain ILR, your child is eligible to register as british citizen

are you sure that holiday you want to take is worth 1500 pounds extra expense?
