Child’s eligibility for ILR-dependent / Citizenship

Post by Mayur1 » Fri Feb 15, 2019 3:20 pm

Team,

My wife has been granted her ILR through Tier-2 arrangement.

I need some guidance on finding best way to process visa for our daughter who is 4 years old (i.e. born after my wife was granted Tier-2 visa).

Can she submit her ILR-dependent application now (as she is on Tier-2 dependent visa of my wife and my wife has been granted the ILR now)?
OR
any option available to directly apply for British citizenship without processing her ILR application.

I am unable to find the answer with my search so any help on above will be highly appreciated.

Would be useful to state where the child was born, ie. UK or abroad??

One last question.

Once I submit the Citizenship application for my daughter, can she travel out of the UK for a couple of months? (My wife will be traveling outside the UK for 2 months along with my daughter).
So need to know, can I submit an application for daughter now or need to wait once they are back to the UK.

Thanks,

She is free to travel and can return to the UK if she has a valid visa.

Your choice whether you apply now or wait.

thank you for the quick response.

So just to confirm, if my daughter's current visa is valid until March-2020 and if I submit her citizenship application this week & later she can travel outside the UK for a couple of months and that will not impact her submitted citizenship application, correct?
