Child LEA (Local Education Authority) Funding and ILR

Hi,

Currently I am on a Work Permit, my child turns 3 this month and the nursery to which we send her have stated that she is eligible for LEA funding.

I am not sure if this would affect my application for ILR later, can some of the seniors please let me know whether I am eligible to accept this funding or not. I do not want to face problems while applying for my ILR.

The term "public funds" only includes non-contributory benefits, tax credits, and housing and homelessness assistance. It does not include benefits based on National Insurance contributions, such as:

contribution-based jobseeker's allowance;
incapacity benefit;
retirement pension;
widows benefit and bereavement benefit;
guardian's allowance; and,
statutory maternity pay.
Also, treatment under the National Health Service, or education funded by a Local Education Authority (LEA), does not count as recourse to public funds.
