CIC Timeline

Hi

i started processing my Canadian Immgration ( Skilled Worker ) in May 2005 . I decided to use the services of an immigration consultant in Toronto , at that time , my wife and i were resident in the US . According to the CIC website , they started processing my case on August 2nd 2004 .

In February 2005 , my consultant informed me that the Canadian Authorities had waived interview in our case and directed us to go ahead and do medicals . We did the medicals in March 2005 . I sent out for FBI Police record in March 2005 and received them in May 2005 . I forwarded same to my consultants who sent them to CIC .

On June 6th i got a correspondence from ym consultants saying CIC has instructed me to go ahead an pay for the PR Visa ( Right of Landing ) .

My question is , since June , i have not heard anything further from CIC . It would seem that they were close to finalising my case , that was why they asked for the fee for the visa . 5 months later , still no word . Does anyone have an idea what could be going on ?
