UK citizen husband and US citizen wife retire to Spain

Thank you for any info you can provide. My husband is a UK citizen, I am a US citizen and we currently reside in the US after living in the UK for 10 years. We both, of course, have NIH numbers and my husband is retired and receiving a state pension. I as well have an NIH number, as well as NHS number and can receive UK retirement benefits in 3 years' time. I also still do self-employment work for someone in the UK and pay UK taxes. I assume we can move to Spain on my husband's UK citizenship, but as neither of us has lived in the UK for the last 7 years, will we still be eligible for their state run healthcare system??? Will just my husband be eligible if at all?
