US citizen in Switzerland for 4 months

Hello,
I will be in Switzerland from August-December. I can stay in Switzerland for 90 days without a visa ... if I leave before 90 days to the UK or the USA and reenter a few days later, will I be able to stay an additional 90 days in Switzerland without a visa? Please let me know.

According to Swiss regulations you're not allowed to stay more than 90 days in any 6 month period. -

"Foreign visitors who have entered Switzerland in compliance with the relevant regulations and are not taking up any form of employment require no permit of sojourn if the duration of their stay does not exceed three months. Their stay must not exceed a total of three months within a period of six months."

You should contact the Swiss embassy in the US and ask them how you can do what you plan. You'll probably need specific permission.
