Citizenship application-HO requesting futher information

Hope someone can answer my question.
I've applied for citizenship in last Jan.
Last week HO requested my old passport. I've sent by email the same day.
Will the further information request delay the processing of my application? I am a bit worried that it will now take long to receive decision on my application.

It's not a clear reflection of extended processing time. In most cases, it could even speed it up. As it might be the key document/ verification they're waiting for.

Hope you can help with my question.
I received a second request today from HO to submit the same documents that I've already submitted when they requested them the first time (back in March).
What does that mean? Does it mean that they are not happy with what I provided? Or they didn't see my response last time.

You stated that you sent the passport by email, that is scanned ?
I think they are asking for the original. Perhaps you want to check this by replying to the email.
UKVI can and sometimes do request original documentation.

Thanks for your reply.
They ask me to send the documents by email so I don't think they want physical document.
They want the passport as evidence of contionus residence and they said I can send other types of documents such as P60.
