Citizenship application status changed to completed - but no garda vetting link received

Post by philiam » Wed Jun 04, 2025 11:49 pm

Here is my Citizenship application timeline:

Application Based On: 5 year Non-EU Stamp 4
Applied Date: 14/01/2025
Acknowledgement Date: 14/01/2025
Additional information Requested: 13/04/2025 (Immigration permissions proof (IRP))
Additional information Provided: 13/04/2025
Application status and stage became Completed: 14/05/2025

eVetting invitation from ISD recieved/sent: Pending
eVetting invitation from Garda recieved/sent: Pending
Approval: Pending
Date of Ceremony: Pending
Certificate recieved: Pending

My Question: I received request for additional information on 13/04/2025 and submitted the requested information on the same day. On 14/04/2025, my application status and stage both became "Completed" in the https://portal.irishimmigration.ie/en/ website. Application number became XXXXXXX-CITZ-25 instead of the original CITZXXXXXXXXXXXXX number. However, I never received garda vetting link or any kind of correspondence on why the application status changed to completed. I raised a query in the portal, but no reply for 1.5 months now. Has anyone encountered this wierd issue?

On top of this, there seem to be some kind of change done on the self service portal a week back and since that, the website seem to throw 502 error after the cloudfare check.

Note: The https://inisonline.jahs.ie/ website still shows my application form under the "Submitted" tab.

The replies on the portal can take months.
In my case my application had been removed from portal as soon as I received the application acceptance email (2nd one). I raised a query and got a resolution almost 3 months later.

Hey, same thing happened with me this week. Haven’t received e-vetting link but status now shows complete.
Any update? What happened next for you?

Hello, sorry to hear that. I do not have any updates. The application is still seen as "Completed". I have not received Garda vetting invitation. I raised two queries in the last 3 months in the portal. They closed one query without any resolution. The other one is still active, but no responses on it.

Thank you for your response. My first query which I raised on April 16th (immediately after I noted that the application status changed to complete), is still open and no response. Hope they address this query and not close it without resolution. Overall processing taking time is understandable for the application, as long as it is seen as In Progress or any other non-terminal status. But seeing the application in "completed" status is worrying me, because, it could mean that no one is looking at it and probably it's in no one's queue for processing. Anyways, hoping that I get some response on the open query soon.

It is ok if the inis.jahs site (where you applied the naturalisation) says "completed". The portal site should say application in process But also note the portal also has many issues and is not really accurate. My application says last updated few days before I got the response to my query (back in April).

Thank you. Sorry if I was not clear earlier. The https://inisonline.jahs.ie/ website still shows my application form under the "Submitted" tab. It is the portal site (https://portal.irishimmigration.ie/) which shows the application stage and status as "Completed" .

I had a similar issue initially. After I received the application accepted email it disappeared from portal. I had to create a query to get it fixed.
