Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

Not gonna mix this with 2021 timeline topic.

I submitted my application in January 2021, I received passport, acknowledgement, reference number and receipt of payment in March 2021.

I received email reply few days ago that my application is currently at an advanced stage of processing. While it is not possible to give an exact timeframe, this office will be in touch with you as soon as a decision has been reached.

I was surprised because I didn't expect advanced stage so early

, considering the level of waiting time for people who applied 2-3 Years ago.

Anyone in the same situation?

Don't get your hopes up. If you go through the various discussion topics you'll quickly realise that the updates that we get via email is not accurate.

I applied in June 2020 and between then and now I've emailed them a few times for an update. The replies I got ranged from busy being processed, advance stage, submitted to the ministers for approval and then all of a sudden back to being processed.

There has also been posts about individuals querying the status of their naturalisation certificates (they were already approved, submitted their payment and supporting documents) just to be told that their application for naturalisation is still being processed. This alone tells that these update emails are worth nothing.

On Immigration's website it shows 23 months for current processing times, I highly doubt it would get approved so quick. Anyways, I still hope you get the good news quick enough!

There is someone posted on another thread of 2020 pending approval , that one his friend EU citizen got approval recently for the application submitted in January 21 - so you never know, it's miracle but it's happening, just keep wishing to be lucky

I am yet to receive the e-vetting link since i sent it in by registered post on 08 February 2022. I sent them an email reminder and i got a reply recently confirming that they received my form and they will be in touch in due course. I don't know what else to do, so fingers crossed.

Applied in late 2021, hadn't got an acknowledgement yet (and it probably is still too early). Quick question, does every letter (acknowledgement+ reciept/vetting/etc) comes with tracking or untracked? Thanks in advance.

I haven't received any application number too(Oct 21 applied), just passport. I have confirmed cases around : 1. Family is waiting application number from May 21 and another person from July 21. It looks like some random spreading, cause I know about other cases got app number + e-vetting already from Sep 21

Well believe it or not it’s true . I am blown away myself. But it’s definitely happening to me and these are my exact time lines.

Just waiting for evetting disclosure to Inis. But remember this does not mean I am approved yet .

My application was received by Citizenship on 24/2/21.

I emailed them the other day saying: "I am writing to you with regards to the above application which you received on 24/02/21.

As it has been with you for over 12 months, I would greatly appreciate it if you could inform me of the status of my application. Please let me know if there is anything required from my side."

The response was, " Thank you for your email.
Your application continues to be processed. While it is not possible to give an exact timeframe, this office will be in touch as soon as a decision has been reached."

I have not received a Garda e-vetting letter or anything since the initial letter with the application reference number and receipt for €175.

Here is the current rules for naturalization application: 1 year passes after your application, request FOI, this can be done by email and by yourself. Check what is achieved after 1 year. When your application is closer to 2 years, then find a solicitor so you can tell ISD that you will be going for JR.

Is there a need/requirement to send latest IRP card to ISD after renewal with same conditions and just extended dates? I still didn't get acknowledgement letter so I don't know my application id or person id.

Don’t hold your breath getting a formal acknowledgement response from INIS anytime soon. I am yet to receive a person ID (citizenship application sent late 2021) and an updated copy of the IRP card acknowledgement (sent early 2022). Not a pip out of them. Absolutely lovely. I suppose to be on the safe side I would send it recorded delivery just for the craic
