Hi all,
I'm currently facing the following situation and I'm clueless about what I can do, also worried that I will miss my chance to receive my citizenship certification.
I was basically informed 3.5 weeks ago from Home Office (after me reaching out to them since my 6-month period had expired) that my Ceremony Invitation Letter had been sent to me on 7th June but got returned back to HO for some reason. Home Office asked me to confirm my postal address for them to re-send the Letter to me, and in the meantime provided me with the 8-digit reference number for me to book my Ceremony Event.
I've now booked a Ceremony Event with my local council (Tower Hamlets) and also confirmed that they currently hold my certificate. However, I still haven't received my re-sent Invitation Letter from HO, despite confirming the address with them 3.5 weeks ago.
I'm worried that there's an issue with the letter delivery again and that I will not be able to make it for my ceremony event (as they require to bring the HO invite letter on the day, among other stuff), also afraid that my certificate will expire if this does not get sorted fast!
I've tried to call HO but was re-directed to emailing them instead, I've emailed 4 different mailboxes of naturalisation enquiries so far but don't have any response and I literally have no clue or idea what else can I do so as not to miss the certification I'm entitled to!
Does anyone have any thoughts?
