citizenship time ?

Post by shyPotter » Sun Apr 20, 2008 11:24 pm

Hi all,

Currenlt I am holding ILR, I came to this country Aug 2002 on WP, my wife and my daughter joined me Oct,2003, second daughter borm in March 2006.

We all got ILR Aug 2007 completing 5 years on WP.

I just want to know

1. When I can apply for UK citizenship.
2. When my wife can apply for citizenship (as on workpermit.com time required is six years but on HO website it say 5 years).
3. What about children when they can apply.
4. Can we apply same time on single application with single fee.

Please if some one can help and reply to queries...

Regards

Assuming that you meet with all the requirements, then I think that you may all apply from Oct 2008 onwards, depending exactly on when your wife and initially entered the UK, 5 years ago.
Cost of applying wrote:Adult applications
Naturalisation as a British citizen (form AN)

Joint application: £735* (husband and wife or civil partners who live together applying at the same time)

Child applications
Registration of a child as a British citizen (forms ..., MN1, ...)

One or more child(ren) from the same family pay a single fee of £400.
Suggest using the NCS.
