CARERS ALLOWANCE OK?

Post by esther1 » Thu Jan 30, 2020 12:27 pm

Hi All,

Quick one. my partner is EU and my daughter (British) is receiving DLA which I applied for her.

My Bio metric Residence card is that of " family member - EU residence" Remarks __ "Work permitted" at the front.
At the back of my card the Remarks --- "EU RIGHT TO RESIDE"

Nothing to show on my card if i am subjected to restrictions or not as per accessing public funds. is there a way to know?

I dont know if i should apply for carers allowance has i have been caring for her over the years. I dont know if i apply for the benefit it can affect my ILR application when due in 2022.

can i apply?

Thanks.

ILR did in 2022?

How long have you and your EEA National partner been resident in the UK? Is the child, the child of the EEA National?

How is your child British? Was the Father settled when the child was born in the UK?

Your partner should apply for settled status under the EU settlement scheme.

You will have to apply under Appendix EU too, you have the R2R as a durable partner and can apply for public funds, assuming your partner is a qualified person.
