Child Benefit

Post by DKV » Tue Sep 21, 2021 6:26 pm

Hi,

I am a British citizen and my wife and daughter are on flrm visa. My daughter was born in India.

I am planning to apply child benefit next week. My understanding is that it is myself applying for child benefit and not my daughter. Would it affect my dependants ILR in anyway?

Thanks,
DKV

Thanks CR001.

I am actually confused with child benefit, child tax credit and universal credit. I wanted to apply for child benefit as both of us combined earn less than 50k. I hope child benefit is the right one?

Also I wanted to make a single application by not including my wife as she is not entitled to any benefits. Any insight on this will be really helpful.

Thanks

Child benefit is the roughly £20pw one.

You must state your partner's details in the form where asked!!
