Child support and Maternity benefits

Hi,
I have got my spouse visa in February 2019 for 2.5 years fresh application ouside UK.
My wife is expecting our first child and due date is in Dec this year. She (British citizen) is not entitled for work maternity pay as she fell short of a month to qualify for that. My question is whether she can claim any maternity allowance from Government and can we claim any child support at some later stage and would that have any impact on me as I have my visa extension in July next year?
