Claiming Child benefit

HI
iam british citizen and my wife just received ILR yesterday .
is it ok if i apply for child benefit on my wife name ?
does it have any impact on citizenship!

Fine to claim.

You could have claimed too as British.

No effect on citizenship.

If your wife is earning enough every week to pay NICs, it doens't matter which parent has their name as the claimant. If she isn't, then put the Child Benefit in her name as theat benefit will gvie a credit towards a state pension, for a limited time.
