Council housing

Post by Strawberry47 » Sun Jul 07, 2019 6:02 pm

Hi I'm a British citizen and my husband has just been granted his spouse visa which will be up for extension in two and a half years time.

I am undergoing chemotherapy at the moment, but I usually work full time earning £19,500 per year. Husband and I are living together in rented accomodation paying £850.00 pm in rent. Husband is currently looking for work. We do not have any children.

I would like to know if I can apply for council housing or housing benefit? Will it effect the extension application?

Thank you

yes it will affect. Even £19500 income wont make you qualify for it.

Thanks, do you think it would be worth applying or will it effect my husband's FLR M extension?
