Could someone relate from experience or expertise whether claiming housing benefit on ILR negatively impact your naturlisation application?

No it won't. You are allowed to claim whatever benefits you qualify for once you hold ILR.

However if during the Home Office consideration of your case, it becomes clear to them that due to your personal circumstances, you were not entitled to claim a particular benefit that you were in receipt of, then this is likely to affect naturalisation.
