ILR after TIER2 dependant and child benefit

Post by Fialka » Tue Dec 17, 2019 10:37 pm

I have received ILR after 5 years of TIER 2 dependant. I am wondering if I can claim the child benefit and won't affect my future citizenship application.

Yes you can claim in your name.

Benefits does not have any effect on citizenship applications.

Also, child benefit can be backdated up to 3 months/when you received ILR, whichever shortest.
