Post by sjgul » Tue Dec 27, 2005 11:13 am

Dear Moderators / Senior Members,

Would the following proofs for claiming Spouse Points be sufficent :-

1). Marriage Certificate.
2). Child Birth Certificate from govt and also from hospital (which has the resident address).
3). Notarised Copy of Hospital Bill (child birth) with name of both husband and wife with their address (As Original given to the Insurance Company).
4). Joint Bank Account details of both husband and wife having address on it.
5). Letter from the society currently living stating proof of residence.
6). Letter from Distance Learning Education Institution to wife at my address.
7). Letter from some Insurance Companies to me at my address.

Please let me know as is these proofs will serve as relevant proofs for claiming spouse points.

regds,
sjgul.

Given the need to not only prove the two of you are married ... the marriage certificate alone would do that .... but also the need to prove the two of you have lived together for at least two years ... I would say that as long as the dates on the various documents you mention prove that then they should be sufficient to show that the two of you are married and indeed have lived together for the past two years.

But I comment further ... the child's birth certificate will only help if the birth is within the last two years .... and bank statements in joint names are very useful especially if they cover the whole of the two year period. Other items are a bonus.

Hi,

What othjer forms of documentation do we need to show that we have been living togeatherf for two years.

My wife has a bank account but she never changed the temporary address that is different thanthe one we are living at.

How many samples of evidence do we need to show to justify we are living togather.

John,

Thc Child birth is before 2 years , in 2003 , May. Will it be relevant.

Wife has a valid Bachelor's degree.

sjgul, the child's birth certificate, well it will not do any harm submitting it, to show that yours is a long-term relationship, but it would not actually prove that the two of you have lived together for the last two years.

I suspect that the other items you listed on Tuesday will prove the relationship is real, especially if time-wise they are spread out over the two years.
