Outbox not cleared regularly

Hi Website Techies,
Conveyance of mail in the outbox is random. Sometimes it goes, sometimes it does not.
Can someone help. Pls. treat this as urgent.

I havnt used the pm facilities too often therefore I may be wrong about it. My impression has been that the pm will sit in your outbox until it is recieved by the other person.

Outbox items are not deleted while sent messages are not opened.
