What wrong with the board?

Double (sometimes tripple) posts by a few different users..
Database errors when I post (but the post still.. posts)..
Not receiving notification of new reply to subscribed threads..
Not receiving notification of PMs..

Can we just upgrade to phpBB3 and be done with it?

For info, the database error I'm referring to is:

General Error

Could not connect to smtp host : 110 : Connection timed out

DEBUG MODE

Line : 112
File : smtp.php


As I mentioned, the post still posts, even though the above error is returned and hangs there.

Is anyone else getting this?

Agree with Benifa.

It is a total pain when the debug mode comes up.
