I am irish, living in the UK, and will travel to Peru to marry my peruvian fiancé. We will both return to the UK together following our marriage in Peru.
My fiancé is applying for an EEA family permit. She will submit the form prior to our wedding so as to give the embassy sufficient time to consider her application. The wedding certificate will be presented to the Embassy as soon as it is available after the wedding. With regards to completion of the required VAF1 form we have the following questions:-
- 3.4 Where is your spouse now? Presume this means where is your spouse settled and living? In this case my fiancé would answer UK.
- 3.5 Is your spouse travelling with you? Answer is yes, however it also states that if I travel with her then I would need to complete a separate application form!! This is confusing. Any advice??
- 5.1 How long do you intend to stay in the UK? My future wife would intend to apply for permanent residence upon entry to the UK. Is this the correct place to state this or should she simply declare 6 months for the purpose of the EEA permit application?
- 6.1 Present job and employer? My fiancé recently left her job as she did not have enough time to arange the wedding / papers etc....Could she simply refer to a covering letter here explaining her past employment?
- Section 7. Employment in the UK. My fiancé intends to work upon arrival however does not yet have a job to go to. Presume she needs to leave this section blank. Thanks to confirm....
- Is it advisable and would supporting documents be accepted for an EEA family permit application to the extent that they included photos, emails, flight ticket evidence, phone bills, letters from family etc etc
Thanks in advance for your assistance,
