Confirmation of application ILR

Hello please I would like to know if there is any implication as I have submitted my visa application online but the date my current visa expires is before my appointment date to submit my supporting documents. Please will this affect my application in anyway? Thanks

When you apply for a new application before visa expiry (i.e. an in-time application), the provisions under section 3C of the immigration act get engaged when your visa expires. This means your current visa and all of its privileges are automatically extended (after your visa expires) until a decision is made on your pending application. So you remain lawful and protected

I am looking to submit my application just before my current visa expires. What document can I share with my employer so that I can continue working before a decision is made by the home office? I understand I can continue working for up to 6 months. Apart from a copy of the application form is there any document I would get after applying? Thanks

It's your employer who needs to go through Employer Checking Service to confirm your right to work.
