confused!!

hi to all..

im just bit confused on claiming these benefits..

ive lost my job and my husband is on a 2 year spouse visa and we are really struggling with things financially as his job is only part time and we are living in a rented house which is costing us a fortune and to top it all off im expecting which is a good thing but its just stressing me out.

from what i have heard i am not entitled to any benefits at all as it will effect my husbands ILR... but i have just read that i can claim benefits on my name but not my husbands.. IM CONFUSED!

could someone please tell me what type of benefits i can claim and it wont effect my husbands ILR when we apply for it he came to the UK on 01/11/2008

Before doing that, can you say whether there are any children in your household?

Also, have you read the sticky topic in this section of the Board? You might find the answer to your question there.

nope i havent got any children yet, but im pregnant!

yeh i read the sticky topic but like i said its confused me.. from what i understand is that i can apply for benefits in my own name eg:

JSA
Housing Benefit (not sure on this one)
