I have been working for a private College as a Director of Operations for more than a year. In our institute the Head of Administration is called Director of Operations. Now I have enquired with UKBA employers hotline and Office for national statistics about the job title and job type. They already provided me the right code for my job under education sector. But my employer is confused about the job title as Director of Operations title is not listed under that code. They want to put Head of Administration as Job title since it is listed under the occupation code. UKBA has said that if the title is not listed under the code then an explanation is required as to why a different job title is used to match the code. That is why to avoid confusion my employer wants to use Head of Administration as job title.
Please note that on my contract it is written exactly as follows:
Director of Operations (Head of Administration).
Also as we are registered sponsor under tier 4 and gone through compliance visits from UKBA, so UKBA Sponsor Management Unit has my name and job title on their record. My question is, if my employer use Job title as Head of Administration instead of Director of Operations, will it create any problem or discrepency?
I would really appreciate if someone can suggest me on this issue.
