T2 convert T1 - time calculation confusion

Post by apu_2012 » Mon Jan 09, 2012 7:58 pm

Hi,

I entered UK in Feb 2010 on T2 (ICT) work permit, but my work permit was valid only for 8 months. In October 2010 my employer extended my T2(ICT) for another year.

I got T1 (General) work permit in March 2011. So, technically I am working in UK since Feb 2010. But UKBA website mentions that only T2 (ICT) issued before 6th April 2010 will be considered for ILR.

Please tell me whether I can count the time spent in UK on the T2 extension from Oct 2010 till March 2011 for ILR or I have to wait till I complete 5 years on T1 (G) before applying for ILR? (Assuming the ILR rules stay same!)

Thanks,
Apu
