COS before April, Application after April

Hey guys,

Just a quick question, I'm about to apply for a Tier 2 Change of Employment visa. It's likely that my CoS will be issued before Apr 5 and my application will be after that. Is that a problem? Will my CoS still be valid for the entire new year? Will the old or new rules apply in that case?

Also since the visa will be valid for 3 years, should the company have a new CoS allocation available for me yearly or is that not necessary? As the CoS that will be issued for me is already valid for 3 years?

you have some wrong understanding of few things, so better go through the guidance.
Once the cos is issued to you, you have 3 months to apply visa, after which it expires and can not be used to apply a visa.
i dont know what rules u want to know which will apply.. rules will apply as they are on the day you apply visa.

I have a bit of situation here, my employer has just applied for sponsor licence and my visa expires on 11th April. Can I post y application before the COS arrives, in case it is late and gain a little time, or it can not be don due to applications made online?

You need COS Number on your applicaiton how can you send before that?
