COS for NHS employee...pls help

Hi
I have been offered job from a hospital as SHO and on 9th week of making application for COS by HR.This is my 1st job in NHS. I came back home and waiting for COS for about 2 months.

Has any NHS employee got COS recently from HO as his 1st job or any helpful information will be appreciated.

Does any body know.. how many tier 2 COS giving for this interim period from july 2010 to march 2011 by home office?
