CoS Main & Dependant maintenance funds letter of support

Post by karel123 » Fri Nov 07, 2014 10:10 am

Hi

I have tried searching the site for the answer however seeing that the keywords are so common I have resorted to asking the question.

We are looking at immigrating to the UK if the company I have been speaking to does get a sponsorship licence.
I am sure they are willing (seeing they are willing to go the sponsorship route) to give me a letter for the maintenance funds for my family and myself.
We will apply at the same time for my workers visa and 3 dependants, the question I have at this point is if they approve the application do we all need to travel at the same time or can I leave a few weeks before my dependants to get accommodation etc.
will the maintenance letter still be valid for customs or may they (my dependants) be turned back if we do not all travel together

This is very crucial for us as we have to give notice where we live etc. so timing is of the utmost importance

Once your prospective employer obtained the sponsor licence they can assign a restricted CoS to you and if they are willing to certify maintenance they just need to tick a box on the online form, a letter is not required. If you and your dependants apply together the "tick" will also cover your dependants.

There is no requirement to travel together.
