Could I be deported or am I just overworried?

I submitted my T1 extension last week in Liverpool PEO. My current visa is expiring in Dec 2011. I made this early extension due to I lost my job last Nov 2010, but I still met the points of earning now. And all my documents are real.

But I made a stupid mistake in my application form which I filled my ex-company as my current employer. Although the payslips I used were from this company before I left. During documents checking, the caseworker find out I am not working for this company now, she decided my case will be forwarded to other department for further consideration.

I know I made serious problem. The concern is if the caseworker will think I am lying though I didn't get any benifit from that.

I even think I will be deported from UK and not allowed to re-apply any visa in 10 years. Should I withdraw my application? Will that leave any bad record of my further application? Will my current visa be canceled?

Please advice what situation I am in. Thank you!
