Hi

To the best of my knowledge you are not eligible to recourse to any public funds and you wont be able to get a council flat. So that's totally out of question if it'll affect your ILR application.

Hope this will answer your question.

Hi Mate

Well to be honest with you you're not entitled to have a council flat to the best of my knowledge that's all I know full stop. They wont get you access to the recourse to public funds that much eaisly as if you just go to them, The council people will do their verifications and if they found out that you're trying to dodge the system then I would say that God Helps you.

Hope this will answer your question in a bit more of the details.

No your not entitled to apply for council housing.
I work for a local authority in Housing Management and I can confirm that unless you have access to public funds you will not be accepted onto the housing list.

Its not easy to get council housing these days, rules have changed, the waiting time is very long and you will have to prove you have access to public funds to even be accepted onto the list.

look on the back of the card. It should say 'no public funds' if it doesn't this is an error.
