No Council Tax

Post by getaway2018 » Thu Sep 12, 2024 3:55 pm

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding Council Tax. Since 2020, basically since the pandemic I have been living with my partner and have not been on council tax. We moved around a lot but my GP etc was always registered to the first address we both moved to (his sister's rental flat).
Now I want to apply and if they want to check my council tax records I won't have any. Prior to that, yes.
Since then I also had no employment due to big health issues. Would both cause me big problems? Can I just use the first address?
Thank you.

it won't be an issue that your name wasn't on the council tax. Use the addresses you lived at with the correct dates. employment is not a requirement for naturalisation.
