Council Tax Tribunal

Post by Rajuk09 » Tue Apr 21, 2015 12:35 pm

Hi All,
Couple of queries , please help.
1)
We recently purchased a house and suprised to see Council tax band changed to higher band. As I beleived (compared with other houses in the street) its size and other factors , its wrong so appealed VOA. VOA cameback saying what changed is Correct and adviced me to go for Tribunal ,if I am intrested. I recently applied to Tribunal and got confirmation letter. Now I am not sure this will effect my Naturalisation application to be made early next month ? But I have been paying Council tax on time by Direct debit fully all these months( including the increased rate). Will Tribunal hearing cause any issues ? do I need to mention this in my application ?

2) Hope my job change after appying for Naturalisation wont give any negative affect ? Or do I need to mention this to HO after my application ?

Thank you

1. Doesn't matter as you are not being "charged" for anything.

2. Job is irrelevant to Naturalisation. I would not change address during process though, in case you miss any letter etc.
Being British is a state of mind.
