Do I cound Experience on Working Holiday Visa?

Post by leondj » Mon Jan 17, 2005 9:35 am

Does anyone know if I can claim points for experience gained while working on a working Holiday Visa between 2001 and 2003.

Thanks.

As you were probably not (officially) able to work in your profession during the period in question, it may be risky to claim that experience.

However, as you are probably aware the WHV rules were relaxed towards the end of 2003 allowing WHV holders to work in any field. So it would probably come down to whether the case worker assigned was up to speed with both the old & new WHV rules.

I would suggest emailing a few agencies that offer HSMP services to see what they say, they will usually answer basic questions without charge.
