Counting the days outside the UK ?????

Post by joelondon » Thu Apr 22, 2010 12:30 am

hi there , i'm about to apply for my BC soon ...and i have a couple of question ...
on the forum where we need to put the days in and out of the UK ...!!!!

for example if you leave the UK 20 mars 2008 to France and you stay in france lets say 11 days ...and then from there (France )you go to Morocco...and you stay 15 days ...and then from Morocco you come back to The UK ....??? in that case what should you put on the form ...leaving the UK 20 Mars 2008 and coming back to the UK 16 April 2008 but the country visited ..what should i put France or Morocco ..please need help on this ...

Thank you

First of all, "mars" is French. The third month of the year in English is "March". Not to be overly pedantic, but if you do need to spell out any of the months on the form, just make sure you do so correctly in English.

For your situation as described this is what I would write:

Country visited: France/Morocco
Reason for travel: Holiday (?)
Date out of UK: 20/03/08
Date return to UK: 16/04/08
Total days out: 26

So treat the period out of the country as one trip to France/Morocco. And just to be clear, don't count the days you left and re-entered the UK in your total number of days out. 20 March-16 April is 26 days away.
