Post by ND » Sun Jul 25, 2004 6:22 pm

Hi All In-Country Applicants,

How did u post u'r HSMP Application / Documents ? Whats the best way? Do u think we can use royal mail ? Please share u'r experiences.

I am planning to apply this friday or saturday .I thought I can use Royal Mail Register post but I think most of the people here are using courier services. Do u think I should go to those or royal mail?

You wont get any ack. from HO.But you can track the status of delivery.
Once the delivery is made to HO, then you can email them and ask the Ref. No.
Email is:HSMP.Workpermits@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

What I was asking here is does Royal Mail acknowledge us if the delivery is okay or not for these special deliveries.

Royal Mail Track and Trace

Once you input the relevant data a message will come up saying - "Your parcel/ letter etc was delivered at adress x before time y on date z".

If you are still not convinced you can call them up and speak to an operator.

If you are still not convinced you can ask the operator to send you a copy of the signed receipt document showing the signature and Printed Name of the Home Office postal receipient.

If you are still not satisfied you can wait to see if your credit card is debited or cheque cashed by the Home Office.

Finally you can ask for a reference number (see the FAQ) - all these would indicate the Home Office received your docs.

Hope that helps

That means that your docment was delivered to The Doncaster Royal Mail sorting office and it will be hand delivered to HO (Doncaster Payment office) today before 12:00 am..

...You can request Royal Mail to send you a copy of the signature of the person who signs for it (free service ..take about 5 working days)...
