Couple of timing rules - need to confirm in advance

Post by mariamuk » Wed Dec 21, 2011 10:33 am

Hello to all,

I came to London on 31.7.2004 and always had my visas extended in advance, so do not have any breaks between.
I have also calculated my days spent outside the UK already.

Q1. Is it correct that during 10 years I should not spent over 18 months during 10 years and over 6 months at one time outside?

Q2. Any tougher timing restrictions in the last year (Y 9) eg only 3 months..?

Q3. I found that I can make an application 28 days prior to qualifying period, hence first week on July 2014?

Could you please let me know, I would be very grateful.

Merry Christmas!

Mariam

No one can telly you today what the rules may be in 2014. For current policy and rules, see Long residence (276A - 276D).
