Course and College change under Tier 4 visa

Post by abz » Sat Sep 18, 2010 11:06 pm

Hi All,

One of my friend studying ACCA from one of london's good college , but he has realized at early stage that its not easy nut to crack for him.

He wants to change college and course now, on his passport , its saying the sponsors ref. number.. is it a issue ?

1- can he change course ? if next college is ready to give him admission ?
2- do he have to inform home office about it ?
3- would he be alright by the time of extension ?

regards

I Guess if your visa was issued before march 2009, all you need to do is to inform UKBA.

Cheers!

tall_funky, did you read the link as provided by vinny? If so you will have seen that the person needs to write to UKBA ..... and then to get their permission!

yes John, I did go through the link.
No where it mention's that if you are on Student (not on T4) Visa, you have to get permission.
My understanding is that if you are on Student Visa, all you need to do is to inform UKBA.

Cheers!

However given we are told "he has realized at early stage that its not easy nut to crack for him", it sounds like the Tier 4 visa was issued quite recently.

Thanks vinny, tall_funky and John, for your replies , yeh john is right , the guy came in janury 2010 and still left with about an year visa, but he dont want to waste anymore time studding what he cant digest.

what would be the best solution for him keeping in mind , he have got TIER 4 visa and he is enrolled in tier 4 college.

thanks once again..

He needs to find a new college, get that to issue CAS, and then he needs to apply for a new Tier 4 visa.

Fair Enough John , lets say he apply for new visa , what if UKBA refuse the visa , shall they revoke his previous visa as well ? how that whole procedure going to work ?

How much its gona cost him changing the circumstances ?
