Course withdrawal affecting visa application???

Hi,

I am holding a HKSAR passport.

I was withdrawn from the university(UK) in October 2013 because I failed my resit so that my original Tier 4 student visa was no longer valid.

I have returned to Hong Kong in November 2013.

I tried to find a short course in UK starting in January 2014 for about 6 months, but I was being rejected saying: "Unfortunately we will not be able to accept you as previously in UK you have not shown any progress on the course that you were enrolled for. It is highly unlikely that even UKBA can accept any students for a new course without completing their previous course and it can have adverse affects on your new visa application."


My question is, in this case, do I have no chance of doing a short course in UK?
Also, will I be able to go back as a General visitor? As I have rent an apartment with my friend which I have to sort out.

General visitor yes you should be able to apply as long as you fulfil the requirement for general visitor visa. For short course in UK if they keep rejecting your application just explain the reasons why you couldn't not complete your previous course and why now you are well equipped to finish successful this course.
