Cover Letter Tips

Post by hoods24 » Sun Jan 14, 2024 12:44 am

Hi
Any tips on writing cover letters for naturalisation application? Specially disclosing breaches - overstaying (nearly 10 years ago) and illegal working (12 years ago). Which by the way home office are aware of (checked from SAR). Do we have to mention all our previous immigration history? Please advise. Thanks.

Application specifically asks for any/all applications you have made.
Cover letters are not required but if you wish to explain in more detail you are free to do so.
Just be concise, caseworkers are busy.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.

Only mention breaches and explain how they are more than 10 years ago. No need to comment in detail on your immigration history once it became regular, you supplied those details in the application already.
All advice comes from personal research and experience and should not be regarded as professional opinion.
